Pace pro-Haris Rauf's focal agreement was ended by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday following a test into his supposed refusal to join Pakistan's Test crew for the visit through Australia 2023-24, the cricket board said in an official statement.
In November, boss selector Wahab
Riaz uncovered that Rauf wouldn't partake in the Test visit through Australia
and told selectors he needed to zero in on white ball cricket and deal with his
responsibility.
As per ESPN Chicano, a source near
the player uncovered that Rauf had never dedicated to playing the Test matches
in Australia. Riaz said that Rauf's choice would "hurt Pakistan
cricket".
"After an exhaustive hearing
cycle directed by a PCB council and thinking about the perspectives of all
partners engaged with the matter, Haris' focal agreement has been ended from
December 1, 2023, and no NOC (No protest endorsement) to play any unfamiliar
association will be conceded up to June 30, 2024," the public statement
said.
It said that the board had given Rauf
an opportunity for an individual hearing in consistency with the standards of
regular equity, nonetheless, the board found his reaction unsuitable.
"The PCB states that playing
for Pakistan is a definitive inestimable privilege for any sportsperson," it
said.
"Refusal to be important for
Pakistan's Test crew without a trace of clinical report or legitimate
explanation is a material infringement of the focal agreement," it added.
