Afghan battling leaves scores of Taliban warriors dead
KABUL: Fighting between Afghan government powers and the Taliban has left more than 100 radicals dead in the previous 24 hours, the protection service said Sunday, as the US military proceeded with its withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The Taliban and government powers conflicted across a few territories, remembering the previous guerilla stronghold of Kandahar where the US military did an "accuracy strike" Saturday as it officially started the last troop pullout. Another 52 Taliban warriors were harmed in the conflicts, the service said in an explanation, without giving subtleties of any setbacks endured by government powers.
The Taliban didn't offer any remark on the battling, however, the two sides are known to misrepresent losses incurred on the other. Battling on the ground has proceeded with unabated lately as harmony endeavors pointed toward finishing the 20-year struggle have wavered. The US military officially started pulling out its leftover 2,500 soldiers from the savagery-wracked country Saturday, as requested by President Joe Biden.
